Job summary

The Planner role at SPEKTRA BUMIMAS SDN BHD will develop, monitor, and update detailed project schedules to ensure timely completion within budget and scope. You will provide progress tracking, delay analysis, and planning input to project teams.

You should be proficient in Primavera P6 or MS Project, with a Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management and 2–5 years of experience in infrastructure or building projects.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience in construction planning (preferably infrastructure/building projects).
• Proficient in Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing, CPM, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using planning software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project)
• Prepare baseline schedules, progress updates, and recovery plans when delays occur
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and site teams to collect progress information
• Monitor project milestones, critical path activities, and project performance
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for management and client submission
• Identify potential scheduling risks and propose mitigation actions
• Evaluate project delays and assist in extension of time (EOT) claims where required
• Support resource planning and coordination of manpower, materials, and equipment timelines
• Attend project coordination meetings and provide planning input
• Ensure all planning documentation is properly maintained and updated
