Elsevier is seeking a Physician Clinical Executive to drive the growth of Clinical Solutions across the APAC region. Based in Malaysia and reporting to the Product Sales Director, Clinical Solutions, this role serves as the physician-level clinical authority for commercial teams, customers, and partners, bringing deep clinical expertise and consultative leadership to the region. The successful candidate will be a qualified medical doctor with clinical practice experience and the ability to act as a trusted clinical advisor to healthcare organizations across APAC. They will advise customers on the clinical value and strategic application of Elsevier’s Clinical Solutions portfolio, including Clinical Decision Support, solutions such: ClinicalKey, ClinicalKey AI, Drug Information, Clinical Pathways, and other Workflow Solutions. This role will work closely with sales, product, marketing, customer success, implementation, and regional leadership teams to drive revenue growth, customer engagement, product adoption, and thought leadership across APAC.
Serve as the clinical authority and trusted physician advisor within sales engagements across APAC, leading opportunity identification, qualification, development, account planning, and solution-based customer engagements. Deliver clinical presentations, demonstrations, workshops, and value discussions tailored to healthcare executives, physicians, pharmacists, nursing leaders, informatics teams, digital health stakeholders, and clinical leadership teams. Partner with commercial teams to position Elsevier Clinical Solutions across hospitals, health systems, academic medical centers, ministries of health, private healthcare groups, and other provider organizations. Lead conversations on clinical workflow integration, Clinical Decision Support, AI-enabled solutions, evidence-based practice, Care Standardization, Patient Safety, Clinical Quality, Medication Safety, Clinician Productivity, and Patient Engagement. Translate clinical needs, physician workflow challenges, and healthcare priorities into effective solution positioning, while advising customers on driving informed clinical decisions, clinician usage, learner engagement, and patient interactions. Lead post-sale physician engagement, gathering customer feedback, clinical insights, and outcome data to drive adoption, value realization, customer experience improvements, and expansion opportunities. Lead the regional positioning and expansion of ClinicalKey AI and other AI-enabled Clinical Solutions, providing physician-led thought leadership on the responsible, ethical, safe, and effective use of AI in clinical workflows. Drive customer and commercial team engagement on GenAI adoption, trust, governance, Clinical Safety, workflow impact, evidence-based use, change management, and the value of AI solutions for healthcare organizations and clinical education. Synthesize and communicate market trends, customer needs, competitive activity, Healthcare Transformation priorities, Digital Health developments, Clinical Informatics trends, and physician workflow insights to inform product strategy, roadmap priorities, customer experience, and regional market requirements. Represent Elsevier Clinical Solutions as a physician thought leader through customer meetings, conferences, webinars, industry forums, publications, and sales enablement initiatives, while leading training, knowledge sharing, clinician advisory activities, and cross-regional collaboration with clinical experts.
Medical degree required (MD, MBBS, MBChB, or an equivalent internationally recognized medical qualification), with current or previous medical registration, licensure, or eligibility to practice medicine in at least one relevant jurisdiction. Proven clinical practice experience as a physician, with a strong understanding of physician workflows, clinical decision-making, multidisciplinary care delivery, and hospital or health system operations. Experience in clinical leadership, clinical education, Clinical Informatics, Digital Health, Healthcare Technology, Evidence-Based Medicine, or related healthcare innovation environments is highly desirable. Experience supporting Healthcare Technology, Clinical Decision Support, electronic medical records, AI-enabled healthcare solutions, evidence-based clinical content, and digital workflow tools is highly desirable. Strong consultative and customer-facing skills, with the ability to engage credibly with physicians, healthcare executives, informatics teams, pharmacists, nurses, commercial stakeholders, and translate clinical challenges into solution-based recommendations and value propositions. Excellent presentation, communication, storytelling, stakeholder management, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to synthesize complex clinical, technical, and commercial information. Proven ability to operate effectively within commercial environments, partner with sales teams as a credible clinical expert, and work successfully across countries, cultures, functions, and time zones. Knowledge of AI, GenAI, Responsible AI, and healthcare AI applications is a strong advantage; fluency in English is required, additional APAC languages are advantageous, and willingness to travel across APAC is required.
