Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a capable field service technician to install, configure and service photocopier and MFP machines at customer sites. You will test installations, provide user guidance and rapidly respond to service calls to ensure machines operate reliably.

The role requires troubleshooting skills, the ability to travel to client locations, and basic IT networking knowledge. Driving licence and own transport are essential for on-site assignments.

Qualifications

• SPM/Certificate/Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, IT or related field.
• Experience in photocopier/printer servicing preferred.
• Knowledge of Canon, Ricoh, Fuji Xerox, Konica Minolta brands preferred.
• Basic knowledge of IT networking, printer drivers and scanning setup helpful.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Able to travel to customer locations and work independently.
• Valid driving licence and own transportation.

Job description

To provide reliable and professional technical service for customers' photocopier and multifunction printer (MFP) machines, including installation, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, repair and replacement of parts and consumables. The technician is responsible for ensuring machines are operating properly and customer technical issues are attended to promptly and professionally.

Key responsibilities

• Install and set up photocopier / multifunction printer machines at customer premises.
• Configure machine functions including printing, scanning, network connection and related settings.
• Conduct testing after installation to ensure the machine is functioning properly.
• Provide basic user guidance and training to customers.
• Attend customer service calls and troubleshoot machine problems.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical and software-related issues.
• Repair photocopier machines and replace defective components where required.
• Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance according to company service schedules.
• Complete service reports accurately after every service call.
• Maintain professional communication and good working relationships with customers.

About you

• Minimum SPM / Certificate / Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, IT or related field.
• Experience in photocopier / printer servicing will be an advantage.
• Knowledge of Canon, Ricoh, Fuji Xerox, Konica Minolta or other photocopier brands is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of IT networking, printer drivers and scanning setup is an added advantage.
