Job summary

Hatfield Thistle Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks a professional Personal Driver to provide safe, reliable, and punctual transportation for the employer, family and guests, with strict discretion at all times.

You will plan efficient routes using GPS, manage time for airport transfers and events, keep the vehicle clean and well maintained, and comply with local road rules while being available for flexible hours including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• SPM or equivalent qualification.
• 1–3 years of professional driving experience.
• Clean criminal background and a valid regional driver’s license.
• Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia; good communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive employer and guests to appointments, airports, meetings, and events safely and on time.
• Check traffic patterns and map efficient routes using GPS to minimize travel time.
• Maintain vehicle interior and exterior; perform routine maintenance checks.
• Follow local road regulations, speed limits and safety standards.
• Handle errands such as document pickups, family tasks or deliveries as required.
• Maintain discretion regarding employer’s private schedules, conversations and destinations.

Job description

This Personal Driver role is to provide safe, reliable and punctual transportation for the employer, family or guests, requires expert navigation, good time management and a professional, confidential demeanor at all times.

Key responsibilities

• Drive the employer and guests to scheduled appointments, meetings, airports and social events safely and on time;
• Check traffic patterns and map out the most efficient routes using GPS tools to minimize travel time;
• Keep the interior and exterior of the vehicle clean, fueled, and serviced with routine maintenance checks (oil, tire pressure, fluid levels and etc.);
• Follow all local road regulations, speed limits and safety standards;
• Handle errands/tasks such as picking up documents, running family errands, or delivering packages as required;
• Exercise strict discretion regarding the employer's private schedules, conversations and destinations;
• Undertake any ad hoc assignments as when required.

Requirements

• SPM, Certificate or equivalent;
• 1 to 3 years of professional driving experience, preferably as an executive, corporate, or private family driver;
• Clean criminal background check, possess a clean driving record and valid regional driver's license;
• Strong knowledge of local roads, shortcuts, and GPS navigation systems;
• Good health condition, neat personal presentation, energetic, responsible, trustworthiness, punctual, safety- minded and able to communicate in English & Bahasa Malaysia;
• Ability to work flexible hours, including early mornings, late nights, weekends and public holidays as required.
