Job summary

UST Global (M) Sdn Bhd in Penang seeks an electronics professional to perform schematic and layout reviews for high-speed PCBs. You will work with the project team to understand circuit requirements and deliver design reports within SLA.

You will review existing designs, propose improvements, and develop design documentation and specifications for assigned projects, leveraging Cadence Allegro and Mentor tools.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in high-speed PCB design reviews.
• Expertise in differential pairs and impedance design.
• Knowledge of DC/AC power for board design.
• Experience with DDR3, PCIe, USB, SATA preferred.

Job description

Work with Project Team in understanding circuit requirements and limitations.

Perform Schematic Design Review and Layout Design Review on customer design.

Deliver reports within SLA.

Review, analyze and recommend improvements to existing schematic and layout designs. May need to resolve design related issues in a timely manner.

Report of extraction information from customer's Schematic and Layout design.

Develop design documentations and requirements specifications for assigned projects.

Requirements:

At least 2 years of experience in Cadence Allegro PCB Editor, Mentor Graphics, HyperLynx DRC, SCT, LCT for High Speed PCB Design Reviews and Rule Development.

High proficiencies in PCB routing requirements and checking - trace width, trace spacing, length matching, tolerances, routing topology on critical nets, via count.

Expertise in Edge-Coupled and Broadside-Coupled Differential pairs and Designed impedance

Expertise in using Through Hole, Blind, Buried, Micro & Power vias in PCB.

Good command on critical signal routing, cross talks, EMI, EMC, Clock signal, Mixed Signal Routings and Power plane distribution.

Advanced knowledge of constraints and use of the constraint manager.

Has knowledge of DC & AC Power requirements for board design.

Knowledgeable on PC Architecture and industry-standard protocols such as DDR3, PCIE, USB, SATA, etc.

Knowledgeable in system-level design issues such as circuit noise, thermal effects, circuit timing, drive and loading, etc.
