Job summary

UST Malaysia is seeking a PCB Layout and Schematic Review Engineer to support client services, accelerating time-to-market and improving product quality. You will review schematic and layout designs, extract information, and develop project documentation.

The role requires strong skills in high-speed PCB design, differential pairs, impedance control, and power integrity, with 1–10 years of relevant experience. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience with high-speed PCB design reviews and rule development.
• Strong PCB routing knowledge: trace width, spacing, length matching, tolerances.
• Expertise in edge-coupled and broadside-differential pairs and impedance.
• Knowledge of DC/AC power requirements for board design.
• Familiar with DDR3/PCIE/USB/SATA and system-level design issues.
• 1–10 years of experience; fresh graduates with PCB knowledge are encouraged to apply.

Job description

We are looking for PCB Layout and Schematic Review Engineer to support our client services that aims to accelerate time-to-market and to improve product quality of their clients. The supports are schematic design review, layout design review, and schematic and layout design information data mining.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work with Project Team in understanding circuit requirements and limitations.
• Perform Schematic Design Review and Layout Design Review on customer design.
• Deliver reports within SLA.
• Review, analyze and recommend improvements to existing schematic and layout designs. May need to resolve design related issues in a timely manner.
• Report of extraction information from customer's Schematic and Layout design.
• Develop design documentations and requirements specifications for assigned projects.

Requirements:

• Experience in Cadence Allegro PCB Editor, Mentor Graphics, HyperLynx DRC, SCT, LCT for High Speed PCB Design Reviews and Rule Development.
• High proficiencies in PCB routing requirements and checking - trace width, trace spacing, length matching, tolerances, routing topology on critical nets, via count.
• Expertise in Edge-Coupled and Broadside-Coupled Differential pairs and Designed impedance
• Expertise in using Through Hole, Blind, Buried, Micro & Power vias in PCB.
• Good command on critical signal routing, cross talks, EMI, EMC, Clock signal, Mixed Signal Routings and Power plane distribution.
• Advanced knowledge of constraints and use of the constraint manager.
• Has knowledge of DC & AC Power requirements for board design.
• Knowledgeable on PC Architecture and industry-standard protocols such as DDR3, PCIE, USB, SATA, etc.
• Knowledgeable in system-level design issues such as circuit noise, thermal effects, circuit timing, drive and loading, etc.
• Years of experience 1 to 10 years
