Infinity8 in Johor Bahru is seeking a Payroll Specialist on a 3.5-month contract to support EOR payroll processes and HR administration with high accuracy. You will manage onboarding/offboarding, payroll processing, client coordination, and regulatory compliance.
Candidate should have 1–3 years in HR admin or payroll, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with Malaysia payroll laws. Working hours are standard with a completion bonus at the end of the contract.

To support Employer of Record (EOR) payroll processes. This role combines technical accuracy, attention to detail, and cross-functional coordination. Ensuring good HR administration according to company and local compliance.
EOR HR Services
Partner with EOR Consultant, provide service upon new client is being signed with i8 EOR.
Execute onboarding processes for EOR employees. This includes employment contract management (drafting, signing, filing), employee data management into payroll systems, and any other relevant HR administration according to EOR client’s arrangement.
Executive offboarding process for EOR Employees. This includes preparation of off-boarding, issuance of acceptance of resignation, calculation of employee last payroll arrangement, ensuring off-boarding payroll accuracy.
Serve as Malaysia payroll specialist, carry out monthly payroll processing for (appointed) EOR clients. Ensuring accuracy, statutory compliance, and timely processing and submission according to the timeline set by the organization.
Coordinate with internal stakeholders (EOR Consultant, Finance) and clients on payroll-related matters such as statutory contributions, client invoicing, client payment follows up, ensuring accuracy of the monthly payroll invoicing and client payment is in a timely manner.
Maintain and update payroll records in accordance with company policies and client-specific requirements
Act as the primary point of contact for general inquiries related to HR services, employee benefits, and other operational information. Ensure prompt responses within the working days / hours to inquiries, providing accurate information to maintain a high level of HR service for the client’s and EOR employees.
In the event of longer time required for the inquiry, regular update communication must be maintained with the clients / employees.
Good knowledge and well-versed with Malaysia Employment Act, IR Act, H&S Act.
Ensure all EOR services comply with local labor laws, employment standards, and client-specific policies, adjusting HR practices as needed to meet regulatory requirements.
Act as key HR payroll specialist for appointed EOR clients, ensuring well-versed with all appointed EOR clients’ business and their HR arrangement under I8 EOR service. Ability to provide accurate advice to the client / employee based on strong Malaysia HR employee Act & IR Act knowledge.
Coordinating and administering compensation & benefits for employees under EOR arrangements, with particular focus on employee insurance with the insurance partner.
Manage client-specific benefits, ensuring employees receive timely and accurate information.
Basic understanding on non-Malaysian hiring requirement and process
Work closely with our Permit Support Partner in handling client’s non-Malaysian employee’s permit arrangement.
Carry out monthly payroll processing, ensuring accuracy and prompt payroll management according to the timely and standard set by the organization.
Perform the ad-hoc task or any task assigned by the HR Manager.
Possess at least a Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Human Resource / Accounting / Business Administration or equivalent.
Basic in Microsoft Excel, Google Workspace and Payroll System
Required languages: English & Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is a plus (to manage China clientele)
Familiarity with Malaysia’s payroll statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB)
Good knowledge in Malaysia Employment Act, IR Act, Health & Safety Act.
1 to 3 years of experience in HR administration, payroll, or EOR services preferred
Detail-oriented with high accuracy and reliability
Proactive in managing timelines and solving problems
Able to manage confidential information discreetly
Working hours: Monday to Thursday (8.00am to 5.00pm), Friday (9.00am to 5.00pm)
Contract Completion Bonus: Payable upon successful completion of the full contract period
