Job summary

Shoopee Malaysia is seeking a Payroll Associate to manage end-to-end payroll for blue-collar and foreign workers, ensuring timely monthly processing and accuracy.

You will review movements, perform reconciliations, handle exceptions, and prepare cost reports while maintaining compliance with EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRDF. Collaboration with HR Operations, Finance and vendors is essential.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of payroll operations experience for blue-collar or foreign workers.
• Strong knowledge of Malaysian payroll legislation (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRDF).
• Proficient in Excel or Google Sheets for reconciliation and reporting.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to meet multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, with confidentiality handling.

Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end payroll operations for assigned employee portfolios, ensuring timely monthly processing.
• Review and validate payroll movements including joiners, resignations, contract updates, overtime, and allowances.
• Perform payroll reconciliation, variance analysis and draft validations before finalisation.
• Manage payroll exceptions and escalated cases with accuracy.
• Prepare monthly payroll costing reports, headcount reconciliation, and GL support.
• Ensure compliance with Malaysian statutory requirements (EPF, SOCSO, EIS, PCB, HRDF) and year-end submissions.
• Coordinate with HR Operations, Finance and external payroll vendor for data accuracy and issue resolution.
• Support payroll process improvements, reporting automation and governance initiatives.
