Job summary

GMG in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Payroll professional to handle the full monthly payroll cycle with accuracy and timeliness. You will analyze payroll data, generate reports, and liaise with statutory bodies while ensuring compliance across both retail and corporate functions.

The role requires strong MS Office skills, familiarity with Malaysia regulations, and knowledge of SAP HCM or SAP SuccessFactors is a plus. A team player with confidentiality and independence will thrive.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in HR, Mathematics or accounting preferred.
• Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with Malaysia payroll and labor regulations for retail and corporate.
• Knowledge in SAP HCM or SAP SuccessFactors is an advantage; proficient in MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Handle full spectrum of monthly payroll functions with accuracy and timeliness.
• Perform payroll trending and data analysis.
• Generate payroll and related reports for internal and external submission.
• Liaise with government statutory bodies.
• Ensure payments are accurate and compliant with statutory requirements.
• Prepare annual tax reporting accurately and timely.
• Post finance payroll entries and ensure correct postings.
• Maintain proper documentation for internal controls and audits.
• Assist with ad-hoc duties as needed.
