Job summary

GMG in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Payroll Officer who will handle the full spectrum of monthly payroll functions with accuracy and timeliness. You will perform payroll trending, data analysis, and generate reports for internal and external submissions, while liaising with government statutory bodies and ensuring compliance.

Strong Excel skills and knowledge of Malaysia payroll and labour regulations are essential.

• Experience with Malaysia payroll and labour regulations.
• Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word & PowerPoint.
• Able to analyze payroll issues and provide corrective action.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality with payroll data.

• Assist in other ad-hoc duties as and when assigned from time to time.

• Responsible for a full spectrum of monthly payroll functions which includes preparation and processing of payroll in an efficient, accurate and timely manner.
• Perform payroll trending and data analysis.
• Generate Payroll report and other payroll related reports for internal and external submission.
• Liaise with the respective government statutory bodies.

Qualifications:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource, Mathematics or accounting preferred
• Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required
• Experience with Malaysia payroll and labour regulations for both retail & corporate functions.
• Knowledge in SAP HCM or SAP SuccessFactors will be added advantage. Proficient in MS Excel, MS Word & MS PowerPoint.
• Able to analyze payroll issues and provide corrective action.
• High level of discretion and confidentiality with the handling of the payroll data and results.
• Meticulous and good analytical skill.
