Job summary

Monee in Malaysia is seeking a detail-oriented Payments Operations Associate to support day-to-day settlement processes and reconciliations. You will handle merchant settlements, monitor payments, and collaborate with multiple teams to resolve issues efficiently.

The role requires 2+ years in payments or FinTech, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with SQL/Power Query. A proactive team player attitude and the ability to work under pressure are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years in payments, e-commerce, or FinTech preferred.
• Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, etc).
• Knowledge of SQL and Power Query is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist day-to-day operations related to customer payments, driver transactions, and merchant settlements.
• Perform reconciliation and settlement duties via Payment Bulk Transfer and Local Payment to external parties.
• Monitor processed payments and address failed settlements; resubmit as needed.
• Respond to inquiries from business stakeholders to resolve delays and discrepancies in payment processing to merchants.
• Collaborate with Customer Support to handle merchants' and users' payment inquiries.
• Work with Product and Technical teams to identify trends and opportunities to optimize settlement workflows and drive process improvements.
