Job summary

Domus Restaurant in Kuching, Malaysia seeks a friendly Barista/Waiter to take orders, serve guests, upsell beverages and pastries, and ensure guest satisfaction through courteous, proactive service.

You will maintain complete menu knowledge, prepare and reset tables, keep the dining area clean, and assist the team in delivering food from kitchen to guest while promoting coffee and related accessories.

Responsibilities

• Take orders and serve guests in a courteous, proactive manner.
• Upsell beverages and pastries to enhance guest experience.
• Maintain complete knowledge of menu items and specials.
• Prepare and check tables before service and reset them after guests depart.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of dining area, stations, and service areas.
• Coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house team to deliver food from kitchen to guests.
• Promote coffee consumption and brewing equipment to guests.
• Welcome guests by determining their coffee interests and needs.

Barista / Waiter (Job Responsibilities & Task)

Responsible for handling food and beverage orders and serving guest

Assist fellow team members to perform preparations and setting up in restaurant for food service and ensure all is available amenities and utensils are properly stocked and inspected prior to service

Assist guests on their respective requests, conduct suggestive and upselling, well versed in all aspects of the menu

Provide friendly, courteous, and professional service at all times

Ensure good communication with management

Maintain complete knowledge of all menu items

Prepare and check tables before service

Clear and reset tables

Ensure that all company practices and procedures are met when delivery food from the kitchen to the guest

Ensure the overall cleanliness and order of the restaurant tables, chairs, floors and service station at all times

Ensure all cleaning duties are complete in allocated times to the company standards

Complete all opening and closing procedures

Must be proficient in effective and efficient table maintenance

Be assertive and attentive at all times

Have a thorough knowledge of all product and services procedures

Promotes coffee consumptions by educating customers, selling coffee, coffee grinding and brewing equipment,accessories along with pastries or desserts

Welcomes guest by determining their coffee interests and needs
