Job summary

Wyld Group in Malaysia is seeking friendly hospitality staff to greet guests on arrival, escort them to seating areas and maintain a welcoming dining environment. You will present menus with explanations of items, daily specials, and dietary considerations to ensure guests choose confidently.

Responsibilities include taking orders, serving food and drinks, checking guest satisfaction, clearing and resetting tables, and assisting with opening and closing duties.

Qualifications

• Experience in a restaurant or hospitality is a plus but not required.
• Excellent verbal communication and a friendly demeanor.
• Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff.
• Standing and walking for extended periods.

Job description

Ensure tables are clean and ready before seating customers.

Manage the seating chart effectively to maximize floor capacity and minimize wait times.

Order Taking & Menu Knowledge

Present menus to guests and provide detailed explanations of food and drink items, including daily specials and ingredients.

Answer questions regarding dietary restrictions (e.g., allergies, vegan, gluten-free options).

Food & Beverage Service

Serve food and beverages promptly, ensuring the correct items are delivered to the correct guests.

Check in with guests during their meal to ensure satisfaction and offer refills or additional items.

Clear tables efficiently after guests depart and reset them for the next party.

General Operations & Hygiene

Maintain a clean and organized dining area, including sweeping floors and wiping down surfaces.

Restock service stations with napkins, cutlery, straws, and condiments.

Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned.

Handle cash and card transactions accurately at the register when required

Qualifications & Skills

Experience:Previous experience in a restaurant, cafe, or hospitality role is a plus, but not required.

Communication:Excellent verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.

Teamwork:Ability to work collaboratively with kitchen staff and baristas.

Physical Requirements:Ability to stand and walk for extended periods and carry trays of food/drinks safely.

Availability:Must be available to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays.
