Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Metal Painter in Malaysia to join our production team. The role involves preparing metal surfaces, applying primers, and painting components with spray and brush techniques, ensuring thickness and finish meet standards.

You will perform color matching, conduct quality checks, follow PPE and safety protocols, and handle materials and equipment. Good Bahasa Malaysia and English communication is required; Mandarin is a plus.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years experience as a metal painter in manufacturing.
• Proficient in spray painting and brush application.
• Skilled in surface cleaning, sanding and priming for adhesion.
• Ability to color match to project specs.
• Strict adherence to safety procedures in manufacturing.

• Knowledge of quality checks for paint finishes.

Responsibilities

• Prepare metal surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primers to ensure optimal adhesion and a smooth finish.
• Apply paint to metal components using spray painting equipment, ensuring even coverage and adherence to specified thickness and quality standards.
• Perform color matching to accurately replicate existing colors or meet project specifications, utilizing color charts and testing techniques.
• Conduct quality control checks throughout the painting process, identifying and rectifying any defects such as drips, runs, or uneven coverage.
• Adhere strictly to all safety procedures and protocols, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of paints and solvents.
• Manage and handle materials, including paints, solvents, and equipment, ensuring proper storage, inventory, and waste disposal according to company and environmental regulations.
• Maintain and clean painting equipment, including spray guns, hoses, and ventilation systems, to ensure optimal performance and longevity.
