Job summary

Terberg Manufacturing & Assembly Sdn Bhd in Malaysia is seeking a Production Executive to plan and coordinate daily fabrication activities across chassis, sub-assembly, painting lines, ensuring on-time delivery and adherence to safety standards.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or mechatronic engineering and at least five years of experience in manufacturing, with a track record in leading operations, optimizing processes, and driving production management in a fabrication

• Minimum 5 years of working experience from manufacturing/machinery industry with fabrication related work environment.
• Successful candidate will have a proven track record in leading manufacturing operations, process optimization, and production management. Experience exclusively within QA/QC functions may not provide the breadth of operational exposure required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily activity for department areas including chassis and loose parts coordination and optimization.
• Plan and monitor daily fabrication schedules and job orders; balance lines and micro balancing to optimize operation.
• Coordinate with QA/QC, production, warehouse, and machine shop teams to ensure readiness and meet delivery timelines.
• Ensure safety, environmental, and health regulations compliance per HSE policies; maintain documentation of productivity and equipment calibration.

Job description

Plan for daily activity for department. Inclusive of:

Chassis and loose parts coordination and optimization.

Monitoring manpower capacity, materials readiness and equipment adequacy for the business operation.

Monitoring efficiency and productivity on fabrication line.

Plan and monitor daily fabrication schedules and job orders.

Perform both line balancing and micro balancing in operation to optimize daily operation.

Meeting output schedule and performance review on daily basis with supervisor.

Plan for daily activity for internal dept area. Inclusive of:

Collaborate with quality team to meet quality standards.

Collaborate with production team to meet delivery schedule.

Collaborate with warehouse team to ensure material readiness.

Collaborate with machine shop team to ensure material readiness.

Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations.

Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company HSE policies.

Maintain documentation related to operation’s productivity and effectiveness

Ensure proper equipment maintenance and calibration.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum bachelor’s degree in mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.

Plan for daily activity for sub-contractor and blasting painting area. Inclusive of:

Chassis/cabin and loose parts.

Communicate with related parties (fabrication, assembly, contractors, suppliers) to ensure meet the planned output.

Liaise with contractors to ensure parts meet target planned.

Monitoring manpower, materials and equipment for the process.

Monitor and manage the inventory of paint, abrasives, thinners, equipment and related consumables.

Ensure proper surface preparation of metal components (removal of rust, old paint, oils, contaminants) according to specifications.

Oversee the application of primer and topcoat paint systems using airless or conventional spray methods.

Ensure coating thickness, adhesion, and finish meeting required specifications.

Monitor environmental parameters (humidity, temperature, dew point) and ensure proper surface cleanliness and profile before coating.

Train and mentor painters and blasters to uphold quality standard.

Oversee the use of appropriate blasting materials and paint types based on usage.

Plan for daily activity for fabrication (loose parts) area. Inclusive of:

Plan and monitor daily fabrication schedules and job orders.

Coordinate with chassis fabrication.

Allocate manpower, machines and materials effectively.

Ensure timely completion of fabrication work.

Plan for daily activity for final painting area. Inclusive of:

Coordinate daily work schedules, to meet delivery timelines

Oversee manpower allocation and workflow in blasting and painting booths or open areas (touch up).

Train and mentor painters and blasters to uphold quality standard.

Provide training and technical guidance to blasters and painters to improve efficiency and reduce rework.

Plan for daily activity for internal dept area. Inclusive of:

Collaborate with Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) and production teams to meet delivery timelines and quality standards.

Ensure all work is conducted in compliance with safety, environmental, and health regulations.

Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with company HSE policies.

Maintain documentation related to coating activities (daily report, inspection records, audit, facilities maintenance.)

Ensure proper equipment maintenance and calibration.
