We are currently looking for a passionate and experienced Painting Inspector to join our growing team. If you have strong coating inspection experience, a keen eye for detail and are passionate about maintaining high-quality standards in engineering and fabrication projects, we would love to hear from you!
Perform detailed inspections for surface preparation, coating application, and painting systems in accordance with client specifications, approved procedures, and international standards (ISO 12944, NACE, SSPC).
Use inspection tools such as Elcometer 456 for DFT checks, PosiTector for environmental monitoring, replica tape for surface profile measurement, and pull-off adhesion testers in accordance with ASTM D4541.
Verify surface cleanliness (ISO 8501-1), surface profile (ISO 8503-4), and environmental conditions before coating application.
Inspect primer, intermediate, and topcoat application in accordance with approved procedures and standards.
Verify calibration of inspection instruments and maintain records.
Record inspection data in daily reports, NCR logs, and final dossiers.
Witness adhesion, holiday, and curing tests as required.
Report non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis.
Ensure compliance with HSE requirements and safe coating practices.
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in coating/painting inspection.
Experience in oil & gas, fabrication, pressure vessel, process equipment or related industries will be an added advantage.
Must possess at least one of the following certifications:
NACE International Certified Coating Inspector Level I
Good working knowledge of coating procedures, specifications, coating performance and application requirements.
Good knowledge of applicable coating standards, including ISO 12944, NACE, SSPC, ISO 8501-1 and ISO 8503-4.
Proficient in using coating inspection tools and equipment.
Good communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
Able to work independently and manage inspection activities effectively.
Strong attention to detail with a commitment to quality and project requirements.
