Nippon Paint Malaysia is seeking a qualified Coatings Inspector to provide technical service for paint/coating related issues, perform on-site inspections, weather monitoring, and troubleshooter for product applications at customer sites. To provide technical service to customers on paint/coating related issues like surface preparation, paint application, weather condition monitoring, paint calculation, etc. Other responsibilities include inspection report preparation, paint problem troubleshooting and any activity justified by the Sales Team.
Key responsibilities
Conduct on-site and line inspection work to ensure all substrate preparation and painting works are done in accordance with the project and product specifications
Monitor daily weather conditions to ensure all substrate preparations and painting work are done within the permissible weather conditions at active customers' sites
Perform on-site and line tests to identify root cause and to resolve product application and performance problems
Report, ensure and monitor safety precautions by site work laid down by the safety regulations at the workplace/site
Monitor and report the progress of the painting, paint consumption, and stock control of paint at the work site
Ensure the safety and security of the workplace
Conform to QMS, EMS, OHSAS and all other standards requirements subscribed by the Company, and implement activities documented in the Company's Quality Manual and related SOPs
About you
SPM, Certificate or Diploma or Degree in any discipline
Basic or Certified Coatings Inspector i.e., NACE Coating Inspector Program / IMM Coating Inspector Certification Program
Experience in protective coatings or building materials
Knowledge of the testing methodologies and standards in the Protective Coatings industry
Knowledge in substrate preparation, product quality, product colour and product system
Knowledge in performing on-site inspection and trouble shooting
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite application
