Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Finisher in Negeri Sembilan to prepare completed machines for final release, including washing, surface prep, touch-up painting, decals, and final cleaning.

You will inspect units for paint defects, ensure appearance, quality and safety standards, and hand over ready-for-delivery units. Knowledge of safety procedures and 5S is essential. Training and PPE adherence are required.

Qualifications

• Qualified with SPM/SKM or technical certificate or equivalent.
• Experience in unit finishing or industrial painting, washing, decal application or assembly preferred.
• Ability to read work instructions, checklists, drawings and safety instructions.
• Able to detect paint defects, misalignment, contamination and finishing issues.

Responsibilities

• Wash and dry completed units using approved cleaning methods, tools and equipment.
• Remove dirt, grease, oil, dust and other contaminants from machine surfaces before finishing activities.
• Inspect completed units for paint defects, scratches, dents, rust, contamination or surface damage.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, sanding, grinding or applying filler where required.
• Carry out touch-up painting and surface repair using approved paint materials and application methods.
• Install decals, safety labels, instruction labels, warning signs, branding stickers and identification markings.
• Perform final visual checks after washing, painting and decaling activities.
• Identify and correct finishing defects before releasing the unit for quality inspection or delivery.
• Follow all safety rules, PPE requirements and safe work procedures during washing, sanding, painting and chemical handling activities.
• Maintain good 5S practices in the work area, including proper storage of tools, paint, decals and consumables.

The Finisher is responsible for preparing completed machines or units for final release by carrying out unit washing, surface preparation, touch-up painting, decal and label application, final cleaning, visual inspection and delivery readiness activities. The role ensures each unit meets required appearanc, quality, safety and customer delivery standards before handover.

Key responsibilities

Wash and dry completed units using approved cleaning methods, tools and equipment

Remove dirt, grease, oil, dust and other contaminants from machine surfaces before finishing activities

Inspect completed units for paint defects, scratches, dents, rust, contamination or surface damage

Prepare surfaces by cleaning, masking, sanding, grinding or applying filler where required

About you

SPM, SKM, technical certificate or equivalent qualification

Experience in unit finishing, industrial painting, washing, decal application, assembly or manufacturing is preferred

Basic knowledge of surface preparation, touch-up painting, decal application and cleaning methods

Ability to read and follow work instructions, checklists, drawings and safety instructions

Able to detect paint defects, decal misalignment, contamination and finishing issues

Uses PPE correctly and follows safe handling practices for chemicals, tools and equipment

Able to use cleaning tools, sanding tools, painting tools and decal application tools properly
