Job summary
Nippon Paint Malaysia is seeking a qualified Coatings Inspector to provide technical service for paint/coating related issues, perform on-site inspections, weather monitoring, and troubleshooter for product applications at customer sites. Qualifications
- SPM, Certificate or Diploma or Degree in any discipline.
- Basic or Certified Coatings Inspector qualification (NACE / IMM).
- Experience in protective coatings or building materials.
- Knowledge of testing methodologies and standards in the protective coatings industry.
- Knowledge of substrate preparation, product quality, colour and systems.
- Knowledge of on-site inspection and troubleshooting.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site and line inspection work to ensure substrate preparation and painting work meet project specs.
- Monitor weather conditions to ensure work proceeds within permissible limits at customer sites.
- Perform on-site tests to identify root causes of product application issues.
- Report safety precautions as laid down by site regulations.
- Monitor paint consumption, stock control, and progress at the work site.
