Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a QC Coating Inspector to perform inspection painting, PFP, galvanizing, insulation, and thermal spray tasks in line with ITP and project specs. You will verify coating quality and maintain calibration of equipment on site in Kuala Lumpur.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, with 5+ years in QC for Oil & Gas or related fields and certifications like NACE Level 2. Strong documentation, English proficiency, and attention to detail are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree in Engineering equivalent technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of QC Quality Controls experience in Oil & Gas industries or related.
• NACE Level 2 Coating Inspector NACE, CSWIP, SSPC or equivalent.
• Having extensive knowledge of ISO, NACE, SSPC, ASTM and BS standards relevant to coating inspection.
• Knowledge of specifications.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must be proficient in written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record environment data fitness for coating work, i.e. Wet & Dry Temperature, Humidity and Surface Temperature.
• Ensure all site coating/inspection equipment meets calibration requirements.
• Maintain records of all work done. Including Painting Reports, RFI, Painting Release reports, Insulation Reports, Materials Inspection certificates, Material Inspection reports etc.
• Monitor and verify the effectiveness of repair work and re-inspect the coated areas.
• Prepare daily accomplishment reports and detailed QC inspection reports.
