Job summary

Fuku in Kuala Lumpur seeks an Optical Hardware Engineer to lead custom R&D and hardware design for GPON/XGS-PON networks. You will own BOSA-on-Board hardware design, validation, and calibration, working hybrid: 3 days in the office and 2 at home, in KL.

Candidates should have 5–8 years of hardware experience with optical transceivers, 2.5–10 Gbps layouts, and lab tool proficiency (DCA, BERT). You will collaborate with global silicon vendors and produce verification plans and compliance reports.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hardware experience with GPON, XGS-PON, or optical transceivers.
• Direct experience with 2.5Gbps and 10Gbps optical layouts (25Gbps preferred).
• Mastery of optical lab equipment including DCA, BERT, and eye-diagram tools.

Responsibilities

• Own BOSA-on-Board (BOB) hardware design, validation, and calibration.
• Author master verification plans and official optical validation compliance reports.
• Partner with global component chip vendors to align packaging details.
• Execute deep-dive failure analysis on optical and high-speed electronic circuits.
