Job summary

Sabahebat Sdn Bhd is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead operations at the Durian Station and D’Cafe in Membakut, Sabah. You will oversee daily operations, ensure product quality, manage stock, supervise staff and uphold food safety standards, while driving sales targets.

You will coordinate outlets, monitor costs and wastage, and implement promotions and menus. Strong Excel skills and AI literacy are advantageous; accommodation is provided by the company.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of relevant working experience.
• Experience in F&B, retail, inventory, warehouse, purchasing, or business operations.
• Strong Excel skills, especially PivotTables, formulas, data analysis, dashboards and reporting.
• AI literacy with ability to use AI tools for analysis, reporting and SOPs.
• Knowledge of Power BI and dashboard tools; familiarity with POS systems or inventory management.
• Proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia and English for management reporting.
• Willing to work and reside in Membakut; company accommodation provided.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Durian Station and D’Cafe.
• Coordinate daily activities to ensure smooth workflow, especially during peak season.
• Monitor durian stock movement and apply FIFO/FEFO where appropriate.
• Supervise the catering and D’Cafe food/beverage preparation and service.
• Ensure kitchen and dining areas are clean and properly stocked.
• Monitor sales, verify cash, QR/e-wallet and other payments; reconcile daily sales.
• Prepare and submit regular reports on sales, stock, wastage and operations.
• Plan staff rosters, supervise staff, and ensure SOP compliance.
• Identify opportunities to increase sales through promotions and pricing strategies.
