Job summary

MRD in Malaysia (Johor Bahru) is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee daily restaurant operations, ensure smooth service, and uphold our standards of quality and safety.

You will lead, guide, and coach team members during shifts, train new staff, motivate the team, handle customer inquiries with professionalism, monitor performance, and drive sales while maintaining cleanliness and compliance with policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the F&B industry.
• At least 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work 6 days per week on rotating shifts (morning and afternoon).

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service.
• Lead, guide, and support team members during shifts.
• Train and coach new and existing staff to deliver excellent customer service.
• Motivate the team and provide feedback to improve performance.
• Ensure effective communication between management and staff.
• Handle customer inquiries and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain cleanliness, safety, and company standards at all times.
• Monitor restaurant performance and help achieve sales targets.
• Ensure all operational procedures comply with company policies and legal requirements.
• Resolve operational issues and customer complaints professionally.
