Qualifications

• Certificate / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 1–2 years’ experience in technical service, repair, or mechanical work (preferred).
• Detail-oriented with basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• GDL license is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in inspection, troubleshooting and repair of power tools.
• Support service turnaround within 48 hours and handle walk-in customers.
• Prepare repair quotations and update warranty/repair records.
• Assist on-site service work and training for ASC.
• Monitor spare parts and maintain 5S service area standards.
• Prepare repair reports and provide basic usage/maintenance guidance.
• Assist in warehouse operations: receiving, packing, dispatch, and stock control.
• Update inventory records and support stock checks.
• Ensure proper storage, FIFO, and warehouse safety.
• Support delivery coordination, documentation, and urgent deliveries when required.
• Comply with company policies and safety procedures.

About the role As an Operations Support Assistant (JB) at MAKITA POWER TOOLS (MALAYSIA) SDN BHD, you will gain valuable exposure to technical service, warehouse operations, and day-to-day operational support at our Johor Jaya, JB branch. This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy hands-on work, learning new skills, and supporting a dynamic operations team in a structured and safety-focused environment.

What you’ll be doing

• Assist in inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of power tools
• Support service turnaround within 48 hours and handle walk-in customers
• Prepare repair quotations, update warranty and repair records
• Support on-site service work, learn new product models, assist in Authorized Service Center (ASC) training.
• Monitor spare parts and maintain 5S service area standards
• Prepare repair reports and provide basic product usage and maintenance guidance.
• Assist in warehouse operations: receiving, packing, dispatch, and stock control
• Update inventory records and support stock checks
• Ensure proper storage, FIFO practice, and warehouse safety
• Support delivery coordination, documentation, and urgent deliveries when required.
• Comply with company policies and safety procedures
• Support documentation, reporting, and ad-hoc operational tasks

What we’re looking for
