AJ Best Holdings Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced F&B Operations Manager to oversee daily operations across our food and beverage outlets in Malaysia. You will ensure smooth service, maintain food quality and hygiene, manage costs and staff performance, and drive sales and guest satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on leadership, the ability to manage multiple outlets, and a focus on continual improvement and profitability.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality/ F&B Management or related field.
• Minimum 5 years in F&B operations with 2–3 years in supervision.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets and ensure smooth service.
• Recruit, train, coach, and develop F&B team members; manage staffing levels.
• Maintain food quality, hygiene, and brand standards; conduct inspections.
• Monitor customer service, handle feedback, and improve guest satisfaction.

Position Overview

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven F&B Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our food and beverage outlets. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring smooth operations, excellent customer service, food quality, cost control, staff performance, and achievement of business targets.The role requires a hands-on leader who can manage teams effectively, maintain high operational standards, and identify opportunities to improve sales, profitability, and guest satisfaction

Key Responsibilities

1. Operations Management

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of all F&B outlets.
• Ensure smooth and efficient service during operating hours.
• Maintain company standards for food quality, service, hygiene, and cleanliness.
• Conduct regular outlet inspections and address operational issues promptly.
• Develop and implement SOPs and operational procedures.

2. Staff Management

• Recruit, train, coach, and develop F&B team members.
• Prepare staff schedules and ensure appropriate manpower levels.
• Monitor employee performance and provide regular feedback.
• Promote teamwork, discipline, and a positive working environment.
• Handle staff concerns, conflicts, and performance issues professionally.
• Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly sales performance.
• Develop strategies to achieve sales and profitability targets.
• Control food, beverage, labour, and operating costs.
• Monitor inventory levels, wastage, and stock usage.
• Work closely with the finance team on budgets, forecasts, and financial reports.

4. Customer Experience

• Ensure consistently high standards of customer service.
• Monitor customer feedback and resolve complaints effectively.
• Develop initiatives to improve customer satisfaction and retention.
• Maintain the brand image and service standards of the outlets.

5. Food Safety & Hygiene

• Ensure compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health regulations.
• Conduct regular checks on food handling, storage, preparation, and cleanliness.
• Ensure staff follow all food safety and hygiene procedures.
• Take immediate corrective action when standards are not met.

6. Inventory & Supplier Management

• Monitor purchasing, stock levels, and inventory movement.
• Work with suppliers to ensure quality, pricing, and timely deliveries.
• Minimise wastage, stock losses, and unnecessary expenses.
• Ensure proper receiving and storage procedures are followed.

7. Business Development

• Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve operational efficiency.
• Support the development of promotions, menus, events, and marketing initiatives.
• Analyse market trends and competitor activities.
• Recommend new products, services, and operational improvements.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in F&B operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or management role.
• Strong knowledge of F&B operations, cost control, inventory management, and customer service.
• Proven experience managing and developing a large team.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Good understanding of food safety and hygiene requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple outlets or operational priorities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and F&B POS/inventory systems is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, weekends, and public holidays when required.
