Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an Operations Manager to lead F&B operations across multiple outlets in Malaysia. You will oversee service teams, manage outlet finances, and ensure an authentic, high-quality customer experience. This field-based role collaborates closely with senior management to drive performance.

You will coordinate outlet operations, supervise budgeting and inventory, train staff, and ensure compliance with food safety standards while maximizing revenue and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of F&B management experience.
• Strong track record managing multiple outlets.
• Experience in hiring, training, budgeting, and inventory control.
• Ability to read and understand P&L statements.
• High school diploma or equivalent; advanced studies preferred.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Operations Manager will be instrumental in providing leadership to multiple locations. You will handle everything from developing the service team and managing outlet financials, to ensuring an authentic experience that offers customers a departure from the ordinary. This role is based in the field and works directly with the senior management team.

The Operations Manager will assist the outlet manager in all her/his responsibilities by coordinating and managing the operation of the F&B outlet, ensuring internal and external customer satisfaction, productivity, maximization of revenue and resources and effective control.

Core Responsibilities

• Monitor outlet operations to ensure compliance with food safety standards and industry regulations.
• Be responsible for, and report on operations of all outlets including sales review, cost control, customer feedback, wastages, and staffing needs.
• Ensure that HQ level instructions and objectives are achieved
• Train staff on appropriate customer service techniques for different scenarios, such as handling complaints.
• Review financial reports (budgets, P&L) to identify ways to improve profitability.
• Manage overall costs including material, equipment, manpower, etc.
• Manage the scheduling of employees to ensure adequate coverage during peak hours without overstaffing during slow times.
• Hire and train new employees, as well as terminating workers who are consistently underperforming or disruptive.
• Maintain communication with vendors to ensure that service contracts are adhered toand issues are resolved promptly
• Contribute to the development of long-term business goals and objectives to improve the overall performance of the outlet.
• Handle responsibilities for the special events held at the outlet, involving all planning associated with each event, right through to delivery.

Qualifications/Experience

• A minimum of 5 years of F&B management experience required; ideally within a fast paced, growing environment
• Strong experience managing multiple outlets is required
• Demonstrated experience in the development and growth of staff and management
• Have a working knowledge in hiring, training, developing, budgeting, and inventory
• Must have the ability to read and understand P&L
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required. Advanced studies in business, restaurant management or related fields are preferred
