Aramex in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day station activities, drive service quality, safety compliance, and continuous improvement. The role emphasizes resource optimization, process optimization, technology adoption, and effective people and warehouse management to sustain high performance.

You will lead diverse teams, plan resources, monitor KPIs, implement contingency plans, and promote a culture of innovation and disciplined execution

Qualifications

• At least 7 years of experience in a leadership/managerial position in the same industry.
• Experience in implementing and enforcing operational standards and procedures.
• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Logistics or related field; a Masters degree is a plus.

Operational Management

• Manage daily operations to ensure service, productivity, and performance targets are achieved.
• Plan and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands and delivery commitments.
• Monitor and improve operational KPIs, driving efficiency while maintaining service quality.
• Oversee sorting and warehouse operations to maximize productivity and operational effectiveness.
• Develop contingency and incident management plans to minimize operational disruptions.

Process Improvement & Excellence

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer experience.
• Identify process gaps and implement solutions to improve productivity, quality, and cost effectiveness.
• Evaluate improvement initiatives and ensure sustainable outcomes across the operation.
• Foster a culture of innovation, problem-solving, and continuous improvement within the team.

Warehouse & Logistics Management

• Oversee warehouse operations, storage utilization, and workflow processes.
• Review warehouse layouts and operational practices to optimize space, safety, and efficiency.
• Ensure alignment of warehouse strategies with business and operational objectives.

Technology & Innovation

• Support the adoption of new technologies and operational tools to improve performance.
• Lead operational technology projects and ensure successful implementation.
• Assess the effectiveness of technology solutions and identify opportunities for further improvements.
• Promote awareness and adoption of innovative solutions across the operation.

Safety, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure compliance with Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements and company policies.
• Promote a strong safety culture and drive corrective actions for non-compliance issues.
• Identify operational risks and implement mitigation plans to protect people, assets, and business continuity.
• Regularly review emergency response and crisis management procedures.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach, and develop operations teams to achieve high performance.

Job Requirements - Experience and Education
