Funding Societies | Modalku is headquartered in Southeast Asia and operates across several countries. The role focuses on back-office operations for banking, payments, and reconciliations within a fast-paced fintech environment in Malaysia.

You will ensure accurate fee credits, timely reconciliations, and continuous process improvements. Ideal candidates have 1–3 years in fintech/back-office, strong Excel skills, and a willingness to learn SQL or Power BI.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years in fintech, digital lending, or banking back-office operations.
• Knowledge of KYC, loan documentation, and AML requirements.
• Willingness to learn new tools and automate processes.
• Clear communication with internal teams and cross-functional collaboration.
• Comfort with Excel and basic data handling; SQL/Power BI is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Banking & Payments: set up and process all payment disbursals and credit fees to correct accounts.
• Reconciliations: perform high-volume bank reconciliations with minimal discrepancies.
• Operational Excellence: work within tight Turn Around Times and suggest improvements.
• Risk & Compliance: report SOP deviations and maintain process documentation.
• Collaboration: coordinate with internal/external stakeholders to meet deadlines.

What will you do:

• Banking & Payments: Setup and process all payment disbursals; verify that incoming customer fees are accurately credited to the correct accounts.
• Reconciliations: Maintain account balances and perform frequent, high-volume bank reconciliations to ensure zero discrepancies.
• Operational Excellence: Execute tasks within strict Turn Around Times (TAT) and suggest improvements to streamline current workflows.
• Risk & Compliance: Promptly report any SOP deviations or operational issues and maintain updated process documentation.
• Collaboration: Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure project deadlines are met and provide constructive feedback to peers.

What are we looking for:

• Experience: 1–3 years in fintech, digital lending, or banking back-office operations. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience may be considered for the Exec level.
• Domain Knowledge: Working knowledge of KYC, loan documentation, and AML requirements, or a strong interest in building it.
• Process Mindset: Eager to learn new tools and contribute ideas for automating and improving processes.
• Collaboration: Clear communicator who works well with internal teams and follows through on tasks.
• Analytical Skills: Comfortable with Excel and basic data handling. Exposure to SQL or Power BI is a plus.
• Key Traits: Meticulous attention to detail, reliable under tight timelines, proactive, and keen to grow in a fast-paced environment.
