Job summary

Lion Parcel is seeking an Air Freight Operations Coordinator to manage daily air freight shipments, bookings, documentation, and tracking, coordinating with airlines, freight forwarders, customs, and internal teams to meet deadlines.

You will monitor flight schedules, validate AWBs, prepare paperwork, update systems, and provide timely updates to customers while supporting cost control and compliance with SOPs. A diploma or degree in logistics and 1–3 years in air freight are preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Freight Forwarding, Transportation, or related field.
• 1–3 years of experience in air freight, freight forwarding, courier, or logistics operations.
• Knowledge of air freight processes and shipment documentation.
• Familiarity with Air Waybill (AWB), flight schedules, cargo handling, and customs procedures is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Willing to work flexible hours, weekends, or public holidays when required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily air freight import and export shipments.
• Arrange and monitor flight bookings with airlines and freight partners.
• Prepare and verify shipping and air freight documentation.
• Coordinate with airlines, freight forwarders, customs agents, and overseas partners.
• Monitor shipment status from pickup/origin until destination.
• Track flight schedules, transit times, delays, and shipment exceptions.
• Follow up on delayed, held, or missing shipments and coordinate appropriate solutions.
• Ensure shipment information is accurately updated in the company system.
• Coordinate cargo handover, collection, and delivery arrangements.
• Assist with customs clearance documentation and requirements.
• Check shipment details such as weight, dimensions, quantity, destination, and airway bill information.
• Communicate shipment updates and issues to customers and relevant internal departments.
• Coordinate with warehouse and operations teams to ensure cargo is ready for scheduled flights.
• Prepare daily and weekly shipment status and operational reports.
• Monitor air freight costs and support proper documentation for billing.
• Ensure all shipments comply with company SOPs, airline requirements, and applicable regulations.
• Maintain proper records of shipment documents and correspondence.
• Escalate major operational issues to the supervisor or manager.
• Support process improvement initiatives to improve air freight efficiency and service quality.
• Perform other duties and projects assigned by management.
