Job summary

Ultima Markets is seeking a junior backend operations and sales support professional in Malaysia. You will assist in client account setup, data maintenance, and SOP updates while coordinating with Marketing on campaigns and promotions.

The role requires strong Chinese and English communication, basic forex knowledge, and flexibility to work afternoon, midnight, and weekend shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Fresh graduates with a bachelor’s degree in Banking and Finance, Financial Technology, Economics, or a related field are welcome to apply.
• At least 1 year of experience in backend operations or customer service role, particularly within the fintech industry, would be an added advantage.
• Excellent proficiency in both verbal and written Chinese and English, with the ability to communicate clearly in a fast-paced, cross-border working environment.
• Basic knowledge of forex trading is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with tools such as Microsoft Office, CRM platforms, Jira, Lark and other relevant ticketing or workflow management systems is preferable.
• Strong willingness to learn, with good coordination, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and accountability when handling client or transactional data.
• Willingness to work on flexible shifts, including afternoon shifts (up to 10PM, GMT+8), midnight shifts (up to 12AM, GMT+8), and weekend shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in responding to sales team inquiries/tickets on trading and account matters, including client account setup, system access, rebate claims, and commission clarifications; elevate inquiries to the Backend Operations Team for further investigation when needed.
• Assist in maintaining and updating the client database/internal systems, ensuring timely and accurate data entry.
• Assist in maintaining and updating sales SOPs, toolkits, and client onboarding documents to reflect the latest processes and standards.
• Assist in preparing performance reports related to sales support operations for management review, when necessary.
• Research and suggest ideas to improve team efficiency, when required.
• Coordinate with the Marketing team to support campaigns and promotions, ensuring consistent execution and accurate client communication.
• Assist other teams by relaying system/account-related requests to the Backend Operations Team for timely resolution.
