Job summary

Ultima Markets is seeking a results-driven Product/Project Manager in Kuala Lumpur to coordinate cross-functional teams and translate business needs into clear technical requirements for backend teams.

You will manage end-to-end project delivery, monitor SLAs, drive process standardization, and ensure effective stakeholder communication across Chinese and English-speaking teams, with 3–4 years in forex-related roles.

Qualifications

• 3–4 years of experience in product or project management, preferably in forex trading.
• PM certifications such as PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2 are an advantage.
• Excellent proficiency in both Chinese and English, verbal and written.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities with multiple priorities and deadlines.
• Excellent communication skills to foster cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate cross-functional discussions to translate business needs into structured technical requirements for backend teams.
• Maintain stakeholder communication with timely updates on status, progress, and resolution timelines.
• Manage end-to-end lifecycle of optimization and projects, track SLA adherence, and ensure process compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cross-Functional Coordination
  • Collect system/website/ application issues impacting client trading experience from sales teams or relevant stakeholders and translate them into structured technical requirements for Backend teams.
  • Maintain continuous stakeholder communication by providing timely and transparent updates on request status, progress, and expected resolution timelines.
  • Coordinate escalation of complex, high-impact, or time-sensitive issues to senior management, ensuring proper prioritization and swift resolution.
  • Facilitate cross-department alignment discussions when requirements involve multiple stakeholders or conflicting priorities.
• Project Delivery & Lifecycle Management
  • Ensure optimization requests are properly documented with sufficient business context, impact assessment, and technical clarity before submission to backend teams.
  • Track and monitor the full end-to-end lifecycle of each optimization project, from submission to resolution, ensuring SLA adherence and process compliance.
  • Analyze operational effort across optimization projects, including time, manpower, and system resources, to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support backend and technical teams by providing business clarification, user scenarios, and requirement refinement to ensure accurate implementation.
• Process Standardization & Improvement
  • Support the development and maintenance of tools, templates, workflows, and SOPs to enhance team efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

Job Requirements:

• Minimum 3-4 years of working experience in product management or project management, preferably in the forex trading industry, with a solid understanding of forex markets, financial products and services, trading operations, etc.
• Professional project management certifications, such as PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2, are an advantage.
• Excellent proficiency in both verbal and written Chinese and English.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities, with proven capability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with high quality.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and foster effective cross-functional collaboration.
