Job summary

Ultima Markets Ltd. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a proactive Product/Project Manager to drive lifecycle management of optimization initiatives and ensure clear, actionable requirements for Backend teams.

You will coordinate across sales, operations, and technical groups to maintain timeline commitments and high-quality delivery. You will need 2+ years in PM roles within forex trading, plus strong stakeholder communication skills and bilingual proficiency in Chinese and English.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in product or project management, preferably in forex trading.
• Certifications such as PMP/CAPM/PRINCE2 are advantageous.
• Fluent verbal and written Chinese and English.

Responsibilities

• Collect issues from sales and other stakeholders and translate into structured technical requirements for Backend teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Collect system/website/ application issues impacting client trading experience from sales teams or relevant stakeholders and translate them into structured technical requirements for Backend teams.
• Maintain continuous stakeholder communication by providing timely and transparent updates on request status, progress, and expected resolution timelines.
• Coordinate escalation of complex, high-impact, or time-sensitive issues to senior management, ensuring proper prioritization and swift resolution.
• Facilitate cross-department alignment discussions when requirements involve multiple stakeholders or conflicting priorities.

Project Delivery & Lifecycle Management

• Ensure optimization requests are properly documented with sufficient business context, impact assessment, and technical clarity before submission to backend teams.
• Track and monitor the full end-to-end lifecycle of each optimization project, from submission to resolution, ensuring SLA adherence and process compliance.
• Analyze operational effort across optimization projects, including time, manpower, and system resources, to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and optimization opportunities.
• Support backend and technical teams by providing business clarification, user scenarios, and requirement refinement to ensure accurate implementation.

Process Standardization & Improvement

• Support the development and maintenance of tools, templates, workflows, and SOPs to enhance team efficiency, consistency, and scalability.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of working experience in product management or project management, preferably in the forex trading industry, with a solid understanding of forex markets, financial products and services, trading operations, etc.
• Professional project management certifications, such as PMP, CAPM, or PRINCE2, are an advantage.
• Excellent proficiency in both verbal and written Chinese and English.
• Strong project management and organizational abilities, with proven capability to handle multiple priorities and meet deadlines with high quality.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey ideas clearly and foster effective cross-functional collaboration.
