CEVA Malaysia (Air & Ocean) Sdn. Bhd. in Penang seeks an Operations Coordinator to manage customs brokerage, trade compliance, and warehouse operations at Batu Maung.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
• Dis3plex Free Commercial Zone familiarity is a plus.
• Relevant transportation/logistics certificate is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Customs Brokerage Management: develop broker directives and scorecard brokers on import/export declaration compliance.
• Operational Compliance: review import/export documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Classification and Valuation: support HS code classification and validate technical descriptions for duties.
• Trade Management Systems: maintain audit trails and compliance documentation.
• FTA: apply preferential tariff rates under FTAs and ensure LMW compliance.
• Auditing and Reporting: prepare for routine audits and report on trade activities.
• MY-Export Permit: assist with MY-EUS, preregistration, and permit applications.
• Certificate monitoring: oversee Certificate of Origin from MITI and Chamber of Commerce.
• AFTA initiatives: coordinate with product teams to optimize HS codes and FTAs for duties.

Operations Coordinator (Batu Maung, Penang)

Candidates must be willing to work at Batu Maung, Dis3plex Free Commercial Zone.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Customs Brokerage Management: Develop broker directives (rules of engagement) and scorecard brokers on import/export declaration compliance.

Operational Compliance: Review import and export documentation (commercial invoices, packing lists) for accuracy, ensuring compliance with Malaysian Customs, MITI, and other government agency regulations.

Classification and Valuation: Support product classification (HS Codes) and validate technical descriptions to ensure correct duty payments.

Trade Management Systems: Utilize Trade Management Systems to maintain complete audit trails, records of export licenses, and compliance documentation.

Free Trade Agreements (FTA): Support the application of preferential tariff rates under relevant FTAs and ensure LMW (Licensed Manufacturing Warehouse) compliance.

Auditing and Reporting: Prepare for routine audits of compliance procedures, identify risks and report for trade activities.

MY-Export Permit application: Need to get MY-EUS from OM/Sales Channel/Customer, apply for preregistration in e-permit, apply for manual permit to MCMC / MITI and maintain special permit (watch list countries etc).

Certification: Monitor Certificate of Origin from MITI and the Chamber of Commerce

Cost Saving Initiative-AFTA: To coordinate with the product team for new forecast demand by every 3 months, to identify a new product & apply for HS code for FTA tariff from customs classifier, to check on the shipment declaration status for AFTA benefits, to analyse & assess applicable FTA usage for import duty reduction

Preparation of Export Permit renewal: To apply for the STA permit in e-permit and submit ICP & EUS details to the Secretariat STA

QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE

SPM/STPM/ Certificate in Transportation / Logistics/ Supply Chain or related disciplines.

Minimum 1 Year of Experience in warehouse operations and inventory management, preferably in a distribution or manufacturing environment.
