Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a Process Operator to manage furnaces, distillation, boiler and utilities with a focus on safe, efficient operation.

Diploma in Chemical/Mechanical/Electrical/Instrument or INSTEP certificate; SPM with credit in Science/Physics/Chemistry; and good communication skills are required. Relevant experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Certificate in Process or related field.
• SPM with minimum credit in Science/Physics/Chemistry.
• Relevant working experience is advantageous.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate furnaces, distillation, boiler and utilities safely and efficiently.
• Carry out routine activities and ensure area safety.
• Maintain equipment as per basic care plans.
• Monitor equipment condition and report anomalies promptly.
• Collect water and product samples and perform basic lab analyses.
• Record field and safety logs and keep the plant tidy.
• Assist in firefighting in emergencies.

Duties & Responsible

• Responsible for process and equipment operation such as Furnaces/ Distillation/ Boiler/ Utilities/ Waste Water optimally (as per area of responsibly)
• Ensure carry out routine activities efficiently and safety.
• Take care equipment plant as per basic equipment care plan.
• Monitor equipment condition and promptly issues notification if any equipment are not functioning as expected.
• Take water and product sample and send to lab also perform simple lab analysis.
• Record of the field and safety log sheet.
• Perform housekeeping to keep the plant clean.
• Be a fire fighting in emergency situation.
