Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking an Instrumentation Technician with a Certification/Diploma in Instrumentation and at least 3 years in manufacturing. You will inspect, calibrate, and troubleshoot instrumentation equipment and control systems, and read P&IDs to ensure accurate operation.

You will work independently with minimal supervision, demonstrate strong teamwork, communication, and problem-solving skills, and maintain ISO-compliant calibration records and maintenance reports while coordinating with

• Ability to read and understand P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Carry out routine inspection, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and troubleshooting of instrumentation equipment and control systems.
• Perform calibration, testing, adjustment and verification of process instruments and measuring equipment according to procedures.
• Maintain calibration records in accordance with ISO requirements.
• Maintain accurate historical records and documentation for instruments and maintenance activities.
• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly instrumentation maintenance and calibration reports.
• Monitor preventive maintenance schedules to ensure timely maintenance.
• Attend to equipment breakdowns promptly and implement corrective actions.
• Coordinate with Production, Utility and other departments to resolve instrumentation issues.
• Execute shutdown maintenance jobs safely within schedule and scope.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and safe handling of tools and equipment.

Monitor and follow up on preventive maintenance schedules to ensure all instrumentation equipment is maintained within the required timeframe.

Attend to equipment breakdowns promptly and take appropriate corrective and preventive actions to minimize production downtime.

Recommend suitable corrective actions and improvements to increase equipment reliability and availability.

Coordinate with Production, Utility and other departments to resolve instrumentation and process control issues.

Execute shutdown maintenance jobs safely and within the approved schedule and work scope.

Maintain good housekeeping and ensure the workshop, tools, equipment and work areas are kept in a safe and tidy condition.
