Job summary

Megah Transport Sdn Bhd is seeking an Operations Planner based in Simpang Pulai to coordinate transportation providers and ensure timely shipment movements. You will handle customer inquiries, review orders, and optimize supply chain processes.

Proficiency in Mandarin, Malay, and English, plus experience with ERP logistics software, is essential to manage budgets and uphold service quality across Penang, Taiping, Ipoh, and Port Klang.

Qualifications

• Ability to work with little supervision and track multiple processes.
• Computer-savvy with a working knowledge of logistics software (ERP)
• Outstanding organizational and coordination abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Good command in Mandarin/Malay/English; Mandarin proficiency preferred to communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.

Responsibilities

• Coordinating transportation providers to ensure prompt and proper movement of shipments.
• Responding to customer inquiries and referring clients to the proper channels.
• Reviewing purchase orders and shipping documents to ensure accuracy.
• Making special shipping arrangements as necessary.
• Tracking and fixing shipping errors
• Managing distribution and shipment budgets
• Ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards
• Developing processes that make the supply chain more efficient and organized
• Coordinate and monitor supply chain operations
• Ensure premises, assets and communication ways are used effectively
• Utilize logistics IT to optimize procedures
• Recruit and coordinate logistics staff (e.g. truck drivers) according to availabilities and requirements
• Communicate with suppliers, retailers, customers etc. to achieve profitable deals and mutual satisfaction
• Plan and track the shipment of final products according to customer requirements
