Private Advertiser in Malaysia seeks a Business Development & Operations Manager to drive growth and optimize logistics across the customer lifecycle. You will lead both business development and operations, shaping strategies, building lasting client relationships, and delivering efficient, compliant logistics services.
The role demands strong leadership, clear communication, and a deep understanding of Malaysia's logistics industry.
Develop new business opportunities and expand the company's customer base.
Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers to ensure long‑term partnerships.
Prepare quotations, negotiate contracts, and follow up on business opportunities.
Formulate and execute business development strategies to achieve sales and revenue targets.
Operations Management
Oversee daily logistics, transportation, warehousing, and distribution operations to ensure smooth execution.
Coordinate closely with customers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and internal departments.
Plan and optimize delivery schedules, fleet utilization, and operational resources.
Resolve customer inquiries, service issues, and operational challenges promptly and professionally.
Leadership & Performance Management
Lead, supervise, coach, and motivate the operations team to achieve company objectives.
Develop, implement, and continuously improve Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
Establish team KPIs and monitor performance to drive operational excellence.
Foster a positive, collaborative, and high‑performance work environment.
Operational Excellence
Monitor operational costs and identify opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.
Prepare operational, sales, and performance reports for management review.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety requirements, and relevant government regulations.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives across logistics and transportation operations.
Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8 years of experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain management.
At least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory role.
Experience in business development, customer relationship management, and sales is an advantage.
Good understanding of Malaysia's logistics and transportation industry.
Strong leadership and people management skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.
Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills.
Experience in transportation planning, fleet management, and warehouse operations.
Ability to manage operational costs and improve productivity.
Proficient in Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
Good command of English.
Basic proficiency in Bahasa Malaysia.
Existing network within the logistics and transportation industry.
Experience managing Malaysia–Singapore cross‑border transportation.
Knowledge of land, sea freight, and air freight operations.
Possession of a valid Class D driving licence.
Familiarity with ISO Quality Management Systems is an added advantage.
Competitive salary: RM8,000 – RM10,000 (commensurate with experience)
