Job summary

TT Freight Group Sdn Bhd is seeking a skilled haulage planner to organize daily container movement and optimize fleet use. You will work with drivers, ports, depots and customers to ensure on-time delivery and efficient yard operations.

Your role involves monitoring movements, coordinating resources, and maintaining accurate records. The position requires familiarity with Klang Valley routes and Port Klang terminals, plus willingness to work shifts when required.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years’ experience in container haulage operations, planning or fleet control.
• Familiar with Port Klang terminals, container depots and Klang Valley routes.
• Able to manage drivers and work under pressure in a fast-moving operation.
• Basic computer knowledge including Excel, email and transport-management systems.
• Willing to work shifts, weekends or public holidays when required.
• Must possess own transport and be authorised to work in Malaysia.

Job description

Plan and assign daily haulage jobs according to delivery schedules, container availability and operational priorities.

Deploy prime movers, trailers and drivers effectively to maximise fleet utilisation.

Monitor container collection, delivery, staging, return and empty-container movements.

Coordinate closely with drivers, customers, ports, depots, warehouses and internal departments.

Track every assigned job and provide timely operational status updates.

Prepare and verify work tickets, trip records and other supporting documents.

Monitor driver attendance, reporting time, delays, breakdowns and incomplete trips.

Ensure urgent and priority jobs are properly followed through until completion.

Prevent unnecessary detention, demurrage, storage and other port, depot or shipping-line charges.

Record container damage using EIR,photo and supporting evidence.

Coordinate breakdown recovery, towing, workshop repairs and vehicle replacement arrangements.

Monitor truck idling, diesel usage, accidents and operational abnormalities.

Ensure drivers comply with safety requirements, PPE, company SOPs and road regulations.

Maintain proper communication and handover between shifts.

Perform other haulage-related duties assigned by the Head of Department.

Job Requirements

At least two years’ working experience in container haulage operations, planning or fleet control.

Familiar with Port Klang terminals, container depots and Klang Valley routes.

Able to manage drivers and work under pressure in a fast-moving operation.

Good planning, coordination, communication and problem-solving skills.

Basic computer knowledge, including Microsoft Excel, email and transport-management systems.

Willing to work shifts, weekends or public holidays when operationally required.

Must possess own transport.

Applicants must already have valid authorisation to work in Malaysia. The company will not provide employment-pass sponsorship.

Preferred Experience

Candidates with hands-on experience in prime-mover deployment, trailer planning, port and depot coordination, container-haulage documentation and liability-charge prevention will be given preference.
