PENTAS FLORA is seeking an Operations Manager in Sabah, Malaysia to oversee daily operations across branches, driving efficiency and regulatory compliance. You will lead a diverse team, optimize resources, and implement policies to meet KPIs and strategic objectives.
The role requires a minimum of 5 years in operations/supply chain and willingness to travel extensively, with a focus on scheduled waste management and environmental stewardship.
The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing daily operations to ensure efficiency, compliance, and alignment with business objectives. This role involves managing teams, including Branch Admin Executives, Operations Executives, Storekeepers, and Drivers, while fostering collaboration and accountability to achieve key performance indicators. The role also focuses on optimizing resources, implementing effective policies and procedures, and maintaining strong communication across departments. By ensuring adherence to legal and environmental standards, the Operations Manager contributes to operational excellence and the achievement of the company's short- and long-term goals.
Oversee operations, including Branch Admin Executives, Operations Executives, Storekeepers, and Drivers. Promote collaboration and accountability to achieve KPIs set by the Heads of Departments (HODs) and foster a positive work environment that supports team growth.
Support and implement corporate strategies for the scheduled waste business, ensuring alignment with the company's short- and long-term objectives.
Lead and guide the operations team to maintain high performance by providing training, coaching, and motivation.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Monitor and control operational budgets and costs, with a focus on vehicle maintenance and operational expenses to improve profitability.
Develop and implement strategies to maximize vehicle utilization, including scheduling, routing, and proactive maintenance to minimize downtime.
Ensure efficient billing and invoicing processes by monitoring performance and streamlining procedures to improve accuracy and customer satisfaction.
Maintain effective communication and collaboration with Management, Business Development, HQ Logistics, and other relevant teams to support operational objectives.
Collect and analyze data and operational metrics to assess operational outcomes and team performance across all branches.
Ensure all operations comply with Department of Environment (DOE) regulations and other applicable legal requirements.
Manage HR-related objectives through training, scheduling, coaching, and performance evaluations. Clearly communicate job expectations and ensure compliance with company policies.
A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in operations and supply chain management, with exposure to the manufacturing, oil and gas, plantation, or related industries.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate operational data and performance metrics effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with strong organizational, leadership, and decision-making capabilities.
Willingness to travel extensively on a regular basis to support operational requirements.
