Job summary

Esteem Energy Engineering Sdn Bhd, based in Kemaman, Terengganu, seeks an experienced Operations Manager to lead E&I operations across locations. You will drive performance, safety, and project execution while nurturing client relationships, including PETRONAS.

Ideal candidates hold an Electrical & Instrumentation degree with 7+ years in Oil & Gas, and possess strong leadership, sales drive and strategic planning capabilities.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation or related field.
• Minimum 7 years experience in Oil & Gas, preferably E&I.
• Experience in operations, project management, sales or leadership roles.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate site operations focusing on E&I services.
• Drive sales, business development and client relationship management.
• Oversee Branch Managers across regions and ensure safe, on-schedule delivery.
• Develop teams, ensure performance, accountability and manpower planning.
• Maintain PETRONAS and other client relationships; report performance to management.

An established company serving the Oil & Gas industry is seeking an experienced and driven Operations Manager to lead operations, with a strong focus on Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I) services, team leadership, business opportunities and operational performance.

Key responsibilities

Report to Site Director of the company

Oversee and coordinate the company's overall operations focusing on Site Technical and Cost & Contract department to ensure smooth execution across teams

Lead, monitor and support Branch Managers in Central, Northern and Southern region

Manage and develop team members, ensuring strong performance, accountability and effective manpower coordination

Drive sales and business development activities, identify new opportunities and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential clients

Coordinate E&I projects and operational requirements within the Oil & Gas industry

Work closely with management and branch teams to achieve operational and commercial targets

Ensure projects and operations are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule and according to client requirements

Maintain strong relationships with PETRONAS, contractors, clients and other industry stakeholders

Provide regular operational, sales and performance updates to management

About you

Degree in Electrical and Instrumentation, or related field

Minimum 7 years working experience in the Oil & Gas industry, preferably within Electrical & Instrumentation (E&I)

Experience in operations, project management, sales/business development or a related leadership role

Strong leadership and people-management skills — able to lead, motivate and develop teams across multiple locations

Good understanding of Oil & Gas project requirements and industry practices

Experience dealing with PETRONAS and/or major Oil & Gas clients will be a strong advantage

Commercially driven with the ability to identify and develop new business opportunities

Strong communication, coordination, problem-solving and decision‑making skills

Willing to travel to branches/project locations when required

Able to be based in Kemaman, Terengganu
