Job summary

Blue Water International Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly motivated Operations Executive for our Projects department in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. You will coordinate end-to-end logistics of project shipments, manage documentation, and ensure compliance with international trade regulations.

In this role you will liaise with carriers and service providers, monitor shipment progress, resolve issues, and travel as needed to meet clients globally while maintaining Blue Water standards.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of relevant work experience in heavy cargo or out-of-gauge operations, logistics, or project management.
• Familiarity with specialized vessels and equipment such as MPP/heavylift vessels, deck carriers, semi-subs, multi-axle trailers and SPMTs, and working knowledge of customs procedures for oversized cargo.
• Solid understanding of transportation regulations for oversize and heavy haul shipments.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics of project shipments including documentation.
• Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods from origin to destination as per scope of work provided by the Project Manager / Operations Manager.
• Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and processes.
• Liaise with carriers, shipping lines, airlines, trucking companies and other service providers to ensure shipments are transported safely and efficiently.
• Monitor the progress of shipments and provide real-time updates to customers.
• Address and resolve operational issues such as delays, damages, or discrepancies.
• Maintain operational excellence, ensuring customer satisfaction and providing service quality as per Blue Water standards.
• Travelling to meet clients or overseeing operations in various locations globally when required.

Job description

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Operations Executive to join our Projects department. This role is based in Johor Bahru, Malaysia, and will play a pivotal role in coordinating the end-to-end execution of complex project shipments.

Your Role

Coordinate and manage the end-to-end logistics of projects shipments including documentation.

Ensure timely and accurate movement of goods from the origin to the destination as per scope of work provided by the Project Manager / Operations Manager.

Prepare and manage all necessary shipping documents and ensure compliance with international trade regulations and processes.

Your Background

At least 2 years of relevant work experience in heavy cargo or out-of-gauge operations, logistics, or project management, preferably in project freight forwarding.

Familiarity with specialized vessels and equipment, such as MPP/heavylift vessels, deck carriers, semi-subs, multi-axle trailers and self-propelled modular transporters, as well as a working knowledge of customs procedures for oversized cargo, are preferred.

Possess a solid understanding of transportation regulations, particularly those related to oversize and heavy haul shipments.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities are crucial for coordinating complex over dimensional cargo movements.

Ability to manage various operations simultaneously, work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
