Job summary

Tropical Food Resources (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking an orderly Operation Assistant to support daily warehouse operations for our fresh fruit distribution business.

You will handle inbound receiving, stock movement, and ensure inventory accuracy across cold room and packing areas, working closely with QC, purchasing and operations teams. Fresh graduates with the right attitude are welcome.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in warehouse, logistics, inventory, operations or related field.
• Experience with fresh fruits, fresh produce, food distribution, FMCG or cold room operations is a plus.
• Basic knowledge of inbound receiving, FIFO/FEFO, stock rotation and inventory control.
• Able to check stock quantity, condition, labels and receiving documents accurately.
• Good attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility.
• Able to conduct stock counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and inventory systems.

Responsibilities

• Identify slow-moving, damaged or abnormal stock and report.
• Assist in daily/weekly/monthly stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate stock movement between inbound, cold room, warehouse, packing and delivery.
• Ensure products are labelled, dated and stored by batch/receiving date.

We are looking for a responsible, organised and hands‑on Operation Assistant to support the daily operations of our fresh fruit distribution business.

This role will focus mainly on inbound receiving, stock movement, FIFO/FEFO control, inventory accuracy and coordination between warehouse, QC, packing and delivery teams.

The successful candidate should be attentive to detail, able to work in a fast-paced environment and comfortable handling fresh produce and cold room operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle daily inbound receiving of fresh fruits and other products.
• Check incoming stock quantity, condition, packaging and supporting documents upon arrival.
• Coordinate with the QC team to ensure incoming fruits meet the required quality standards.
• Ensure all received stock is properly recorded and updated in the inventory system.
• Arrange and store incoming stock according to proper FIFO/FEFO practices.
• Ensure older stock is used or issued before newer stock.
• Monitor stock ageing, freshness, expiry, condition and movement.
• Identify slow-moving, damaged, ageing or abnormal stock and report immediately.
• Assist in conducting daily, weekly and monthly stock counts.
• Investigate and report stock discrepancies, shortages and excess stock.
• Monitor and coordinate stock movement between inbound, cold room, warehouse, packing and delivery areas.
• Ensure all products are properly labelled, dated and arranged according to batch or receiving date.
• Maintain accurate inbound, inventory and stock movement records.
• Assist with order preparation and outbound operations when required.
• Coordinate with warehouse, QC, packing, purchasing and operations teams on daily stock requirements.
• Follow up on stock shortages and communicate any potential operational issues to the Operations Manager.
• Ensure the inbound and storage areas are clean, organised and properly maintained.
• Ensure cold room and warehouse storage practices are properly followed.
• Support the Operations Manager in daily operational coordination and problem-solving.
• Prepare inbound receiving, stock movement, inventory and operational reports.
• Ensure company SOPs, food safety requirements and warehouse procedures are followed.
• Perform other operational duties assigned by management when required.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, inventory, operations or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in fresh fruits, fresh produce, food distribution, FMCG or cold room operations is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of inbound receiving, FIFO/FEFO, stock rotation and inventory control.
• Able to check stock quantity, condition, labels and receiving documents accurately.
• Good attention to detail and strong sense of responsibility.
