Job summary

New Era Technology is seeking an experienced Project Manager to be deployed at a prestigious client in Malaysia, with the role based at the Kuala Lumpur office. The position requires managing tactical and transformation IT projects from initiation through delivery, ensuring alignment with business needs and governance frameworks.

You will lead cross-functional teams, coordinate vendor activities, and drive risk management, change control and benefits realization while maintaining project

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Professional certification in project management is preferred (PMP and/or Scrum Master is a plus).
• At least 5 years of experience managing IT projects and system implementation/enhancement (3 full lifecycle).
• Experience in GI/Life insurance domain and Insurance-related projects is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Bank Negara Malaysia’s RMiT guidelines and risk controls in technology initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and validate project scope, objectives, deliverables and success criteria.
• Develop detailed project plans, secure resources, budget and governance.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies and mitigation plans.
• Lead governance, reporting cadence and stakeholder communications.
• Coordinate project kickoff, execution, and closure with proper handover.
