Job summary

New Era Technology, Inc. in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead IT projects and transformations for our prestigious client at the KL office.

You will drive delivery from initiation through closure, coordinating cross-functional teams and ensuring governance compliance. The ideal candidate has 5+ years in IT project management, strong skills in Waterfall/Agile/Kanban, and solid stakeholder management, communication, and risk control capabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree / Professional Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• PMP and/or Scrum Master certifications are preferred.
• At least 5 years of IT project management experience.
• Experience with transformation projects related to Core Insurance system (AS400) and insurance portals.
• Familiarity with Bank Negara Malaysia’s RMiT guidelines is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and validate the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Plan resources, budget, and project team structure.
• Identify risks, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Establish governance, reporting cadence, and escalation mechanisms.
• Develop stakeholder engagement and communication plans.
• Conduct project kick-off and ensure proper handover upon closure.
