Job summary

New Era Technology, Kuala Lumpur office, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead IT transformation projects for our prestigious client. You will manage lifecycle from planning through delivery, aligning with business goals and regulatory requirements.

You will collaborate with stakeholders and cross-functional teams, define scope, manage risks, schedule, and budget, and ensure governance and quality throughout the SDLC. A strong background in Insurance/Banking domains is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• Professional certification in project management is preferred, but certified PMP and/or certified Scrum Master is added advantage.
• At least 5 years of experience managing IT projects and system implementation / enhancement, with at least 3 full lifecycle implementations.

Responsibilities

• Define and validate the project scope, objectives, deliverables, and success criteria.
• Plan and secure the required resources, budget, and project team structure.
• Identify and manage project risks, assumptions, dependencies, and mitigation plans.
• Establish project governance, reporting cadence, and escalation mechanisms.
• Develop a stakeholder engagement and communication plan to ensure alignment and commitment.
• Conduct the project kick-off to prepare for execution.
• Create and maintain work schedules, define milestones and critical path for timely completion.
• Ensure implementation is compliant with company processes and regulatory requirements.
• Manage change using verification techniques to assess impact and present justification for approval.
