Job summary

Jipal Hi-Tech Pte. Ltd. in Penang is seeking a Field Service Engineer to join our engineering team. This full-time role installs, maintains, troubleshoots, and repairs equipment at customer sites to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

You will be the primary technical interface for clients, handling on-site installations, preventive maintenance, and timely service reports, while traveling to locations as needed and upholding safety standards.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills to identify and resolve issues.
• Excellent communication to explain technical information clearly.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
• Willingness to travel to customer sites and work in diverse environments.
• Physical fitness for field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Install, commission, and configure equipment at customer sites.
• Perform preventive maintenance and inspections to ensure peak performance.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot faults and root causes.
• Repair or replace faulty components and equipment as required.
• Provide technical support and training to customers on operation and maintenance.
• Document service activities and customer interactions in reports.
• Respond promptly to service calls and emergencies.
• Maintain spare parts inventory records and communicate stock needs.
• Collaborate with engineering to relay feedback for product improvement.
• Adhere to health, safety, and environmental regulations on sites.
