Job summary

1498295-W is seeking a Site Coordinator to oversee daily construction activities and ensure progress aligns with the approved programme. You will support the Project Manager/Construction Manager, coordinating site operations, manpower, subcontractors and project requirements on ongoing projects in Malaysia.

You will liaise with site teams, consultants and Head Office, monitor progress, review drawings and documentation, conduct site inspections, manage deliveries and prepare progress reports.

• Ability to monitor progress and control quality & safety.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and monitor daily construction and project activities to ensure progress aligns with the approved programme.
• Assist Project Manager/Construction Manager in coordinating site operations, manpower, subcontractors and requirements.
• Coordinate between site teams, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and Head Office.
• Monitor project progress and follow up on outstanding works, submissions, approvals and site issues.
• Review and coordinate construction drawings, shop drawings, method statements and technical documentation.
• Identify discrepancies or clashes in drawings and coordinate with relevant parties for resolution.
• Attend site, progress and coordination meetings and follow up on action items.
• Conduct regular site inspections and ensure works comply with drawings, specifications, quality and safety.
• Coordinate delivery of materials, equipment and resources according to the construction schedule.
• Assist in preparing daily/weekly progress reports, work programmes, site records and project documentation.
• Follow up with subcontractors to ensure works are completed within the timeline and quality standards.
• Coordinate inspections with consultants and rectify outstanding comments or defects promptly.
• Assist in monitoring project schedules and potential delays and report critical issues.
• Maintain proper filing and records of drawings, RFIs, correspondence, approvals, reports and other documents.
• Liaise with relevant authorities and external parties when required.
• Ensure communication between all project disciplines, including Architectural, C&S and M&E.
• Be prepared to travel to project sites and work in an active construction-site environment.
• Perform other project coordination duties assigned by the Project Manager or Management.
