Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking an experienced Assistant Project Manager to strengthen its Sabah project team in Malaysia. The role requires coordinating people, following up outstanding matters and driving projects to completion, not just office monitoring.

Diploma or Bachelor's in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or related field with at least 3 years of site coordination and project execution experience is essential. Strong leadership and communication skills are needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Construction Management, Building Services or other technical discipline.
• Minimum THREE (3) YEARS of relevant experience in construction, M&E, building services, fire protection or project/site management.
• Candidates must have actual site coordination and project execution experience, not just admin/documentation.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating, executing and completing assigned projects.
• Manage and coordinate day-to-day project and site activities.
• Prepare and monitor project schedules, work programmes, manpower requirements and site priorities.
• Monitor progress against schedules and address delays and outstanding works.
• Coordinate with clients, consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
• Attend site, coordination, technical and progress meetings and follow through on actions.
• Prepare progress reports, site records, work schedules and project documentation.
• Review drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities and project requirements.
• Coordinate material requirements, purchasing requests, delivery schedules and site availability.
• Supervise subcontractors and workers to ensure compliance with drawings and specs.
