Job summary

VIKING OFFSHORE MALAYSIA SDN BHD is seeking an experienced Project Manager in Johor Bahru to lead offshore engineering projects. You will oversee scope, timelines, budgets and stakeholder expectations, while ensuring safety and high-quality delivery.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering or related field, at least 5 years in offshore/oil and gas, and strong knowledge of PMI/PRINCE2 frameworks. You will coordinate cross-functional teams and manage risks with focus on HSE compliance.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related discipline required.
Minimum 5 years of project management experience in offshore/marine/oil and gas sectors.
Strong knowledge of PMI, PRINCE2 or similar frameworks.
Experience in planning, scheduling, budgeting and resource management.
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and multiple projects.
Sound understanding of HSE requirements and best practices.
Proficiency with project management software and MS Office applications.

Responsibilities

Planning and scheduling project activities with realistic timelines.
Managing project budgets and cost control within approved parameters.
Identifying and mitigating risks with contingency planning.
Coordinating and leading project teams including contractors and subcontractors.
Monitoring progress against KPIs and reporting to management/clients.
Managing stakeholder communications and ensuring alignment on objectives.
Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental regulations.
Documenting deliverables and preparing project closure reports.
Liaising with engineering, procurement, and operations for seamless integration.
