Job summary

Viking Offshore Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. seeks an Electrical Engineer to prepare electrical designs for HVAC&R systems in Oil and Gas, Marine and Offshore sectors.

You will design MCC/Starter/PLC control panels and power distribution, and coordinate with instrumentation and PLC selection. You will lead a team of electrical engineers, interact with other disciplines, project managers and clients, and support operations and sales on technical matters while ensuring schedules align with contractual

Qualifications

• Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication, coordination and interpersonal skills.
• Able to communicate with China customers and suppliers.
• Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering and design, familiar with codes and industry practices.
• Preferred: 3 years offshore, industrial, or HVAC-related experience.
• Similar offshore/marine experience is advantageous.
• AutoCAD proficiency and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare electrical designs for HVAC&R systems in Oil & Gas, Marine and Offshore industries.
• Apply design knowledge in power distribution, HVAC&R control systems, ventilation, damper control systems, electrical specs and component selection.
• Design MCC/Starter/PLC control panels and power distribution systems.
• Lead and supervise a team of electrical engineers in design work.
• Interact with other engineering disciplines, project managers and clients.
• Support operations and sales on technical matters as needed.
• Ensure progress schedules for all-engineering designs meet contractual requirements.
